Crossroads Community Church-membership

Joined Crossroads Community Church today! They have asked me to help with taking the tithes and ushering and although my 1st weekend will be Easter weekend, they asked me to help last night at Sat night church so I did. It's a great church--I've been going since July '06 and it's time to "get out of the stands and into the game"(Pastor Dennis Anderson). Membership meant I had to attend a 4-hr class this afternoon, which actually went by quickly and included Qdobas for dinner, and a few papers to be filled out and a brief intro to the congregation sometime soon.

I threw my Bible in my moped yesterday since it was warm out and drove it to church. It's funny how so many of the church people recognize me by my bike--haha. I can't wait until it gets warmer so I can do that more!

I like these things about the church the most:
1. the music
2. the size (2800-3300), I like big churches
3. the sermons are great: short, funny, to the point
4. pastors are simple yet take their jobs seriously
5. congregation is young but a variety of people

This church is a good fit for me and where I believe God wants me!
