Loveland 5K Turkey Trot

I completed the 5K Turkey Trot today. Weather was perfect, met new people and they even announced my name as I crossed the finish line! The 1st place winner for my age category was 22min....my time: 52 min--ha--but I did finish!

Seven years ago, Tim Jones and Pam Boudreau crossed the finish line first at Loveland’s first ever Turkey Trot race. Years, thousands of runners and even more dollars raised for children’s medical needs later, the Thanksgiving morning race is still growing. “It’s so amazing that 800 to 1,000 people come out on a cold, crisp morning when they could be sleeping in,” said Boudreau, who hasn’t missed a Loveland Turkey Trot yet.
